A.Y.D.F is a Non-governmental organization founded in 2011 and registered in 2013 as a community based organization working with street children in the slums of Mengo Kisenyi in Kampala district the capital of Uganda up to 2015 September registered as a Nun-Governmental Organization under registered number , S.5914/11964

The kids are between 8 and 16 years old. Some of them ran away from home, because the parents could not take care for them. Others are orphans. The children sleep on the streets and earn some money by recycling empty bottles. Many of them start in young age using drugs. Their life is dominated by police violence, diseases and the daily fight to survive.
